The round is set, the site is rebuilt, and Simmi answers investors
The first monthly update. Every update has the same shape: the numbers, what changed, what's broken, what's next and one ask. Measured lines are true today; Plan lines are what the round is for.
The round
Plan. £250k, a priced round of ordinary shares, all under SEIS. Six months to prove the model and about three more to raise the next round on the evidence. The target is 30 paying customers by month six, counted by source: self-serve, Local Partner and founder. The ask
Go-to-market, settled
- Product-led first. Most businesses find Simma, start free and run it themselves with the AI team.
- Simma Local Partners. Employed, local, flexible hours built around the school day; they find, onboard and support the businesses that want a person. The role is written and public. The role
- Simma Sparks, a media brand for owners: content first, print when it's ready.
- The Cascade gives each industry its own version of Simma, so a Partner can show a bike shop a platform for bike shops. Go-to-market
The product
Measured, 1 October. In production since 3 September; 2,120 commits are waiting for the next release. Since the last release, in development:
- A "Waiting on you" page lists every step and idea waiting for a person, and content can be approved from it; no agent can approve for a person.
- Data-access requests: exports state what they withhold, staff pages fixed, downloads as JSON or CSV.
- The Judgment service (for Jev, TypeSafe's fast decision model) is built, with 15 decisions registered; it is switched off until it is measured on each one.
What's broken
- Customer websites on simmasite.com are unreachable (error 530) since the 3 September server move. Fixed in code; it needs a DNS change and the next release. Status
The investor site
Rebuilt around the £250k round, with a re-measured Status page, every page listed on All pages, and Simmi, who answers questions from this site only. Questions are logged, so the next update can answer what the site didn't.
Next month
- Open the SeedLegals round, assign the IP to the company and apply for SEIS advance assurance.
- Release to production, including the simmasite.com fix.
- The named AI teammates.
- The first investor conversations.
The ask
Introductions to operator angels who have built, run or sold software for small businesses. They're the people most likely to see what Simma is in one conversation. Reply to paul@simma.ai.
