Where Simma goes next

Today, the front of the business. Next, all of it.

Simma already puts a business's website, bookings, customers, email and payments on one record, with an AI team working inside it. The same record can carry the rest of the business: its contracts, its people, its books, its bank account, its cards and its travel. Simma can sell it the supplies and uniforms it runs on. And it can open that business to every AI agent its customers use.

Everything on this page is an idea for the future: not designed in detail, and not built. Status says what works today, line by line.

01 · THE REST OF THE BUSINESS

Six more suites. Each with its own agents.

A small business runs its legal, people, accounts, banking and travel on separate tools, or in the owner's head. On Simma they'd sit on the same record as everything else, so an agent that books a class can also see the contract, the rota, the invoice and the card that paid for it.

Idea

Legal

Contracts, terms of business, policies, waivers and employment paperwork, kept up to date as the law and the business change.

The legal agent drafts, checks against the business's own terms and flags renewals and gaps. A person signs.

Builds on: the privacy and consent records, data requests and retention rules already in Simma.

Grows from Team

HR

Contracts of employment, right-to-work checks, payroll, pensions, performance and the full employee lifecycle.

The HR agent prepares the paperwork, keeps records current and reminds the owner of what's due.

Builds on: the Team section's rota, time, leave, hiring and training.

Grows from Money

Accounting

The books themselves: bookkeeping, VAT and tax returns, and the year end, kept on the same record as the sales that created them.

Today Simma deliberately holds back on accounting and tax: it keeps one ledger and syncs it to Xero or QuickBooks for the accountant. When Simma is capable and mature enough, it moves into that space and competes with them.

The accounting agent categorises, reconciles and prepares returns for the owner or their accountant to approve.

Builds on: Money's single ledger and its Xero and QuickBooks sync.

Idea

Simma Bank

A business account where Simma Pay settles, so takings, bills and payroll move without leaving the record.

The money agents forecast cash, schedule payments and chase what's owed. Moving money always needs the owner's OK.

Builds on: Simma Pay. A future direction on Stripe's embedded-finance products, country by country.

Grows from expenses

Cards for everyone

A card for every member of the team, with limits the owner sets, and each spend landing in expenses with its receipt.

The expenses agent matches receipts, applies the policy and queues anything unusual for approval.

Builds on: the expenses Simma already handles, with receipts captured and approved.

Idea

Travel

Trips for the owner and the team, booked inside the business's own travel policy, paid on a Simma card and filed as an expense.

The travel agent finds and books within policy, and rearranges when plans change.

Builds on: the rota and calendar (who is away, and when) and cards for everyone.

The rule stays the same in every suite: agents draft, people decide. Anything that reaches a customer, signs the business up to something or moves money waits for a person's approval, and every action is on the record.

Two shops, for the businesses on Simma.

Simma already knows what each business sells, how busy it is and what its brand looks like. That makes it a natural place to buy what the business runs on.

Idea

Simma Supplies

The everyday stock a business uses up: cups, lids and napkins for a café, towels and mats for a studio, cleaning and consumables for everyone. Ordered in the same place the business is run, and paid on the same account.

The supplies agent sees what's running low from what the business sells and books, and drafts the reorder for the owner to approve.

Builds on: the products, orders and inventory Simma already holds.

Idea

The uniform shop

Uniforms and branded workwear for the whole team, made with the business's own logo and colours, sized per person and reordered as people join.

The uniform agent sets up each new starter's kit from the Team record and orders it with the owner's OK.

Builds on: the brand kit and the Team record. Paul founded and sold Workwear City, an online workwear store with 22,000+ products, so this is ground he knows.

For Simma, these would be a new kind of revenue: margin on goods, rather than a subscription or a payment fee. How they are stocked and fulfilled is still open.

02 · OPEN TO EVERY AGENT

Customers will ask an AI to book. Every Simma business should be bookable.

More and more, a customer won't visit the website. They'll ask their own assistant to "find a beginners' class near me on Thursday and book it". Simma's job is to make sure the answer is a Simma business, and that the assistant can complete the booking, not just find a phone number.

What's there today

  • LiveStructured data on every published site, so search engines and AI answer engines can read the services, prices and opening times.
  • BuildingA plain summary of each business for AI assistants (llms.txt), verified in development.
  • LiveSimma's tools offered over MCP, the open standard for AI tools, for the owner's own assistant.

What comes next

  • NextA front door for other systems' agents: find a business's services, prices and real availability.
  • NextHold a slot or an order, and pay through Simma Pay, on the business's own terms and policies.
  • NextEvery agent booking lands on the customer record, like any other, so nothing is lost and nothing is double-booked.
  • NextThe owner decides what agents may do: browse only, hold, or book and pay.
Their assistant→Simma's front door→Real availability→Booked and paid→On the record

Why it matters: a business on Simma becomes bookable by any agent without doing anything extra, because the timetable, prices and payments those agents need are already on one record. A business on joined-up tools would have to expose each tool separately.

03 · IN WHAT ORDER

Led by what customers ask for. Paid for by what's proven.

The Angel round proves the first customers and the Local Partner model, and the pre-seed proves the UK machine. None of these suites is needed for either. Which comes first will be decided by what the first customers keep asking for, and by what can be built safely; being bookable by outside agents comes first among them, because it brings customers to every business already on Simma.

These are ideas for where the platform can go, not commitments, and none of them is counted in the five-year plan.

That's the direction. Here's what works today.
