Work

Promise it. Deliver it. Never forget to bill it.

What we've promised, who's doing it, and what's stuck. Tasks, projects and jobs out in the field, planned at a desk, done on a doorstep, and joined to the customer and the invoice.

What you can run

Every promise a business makes, in one place.

From a two-minute task to a three-month project, and from the office to the customer's front door. It's all the same work, so it's all in one list.

Tasks & checklists

Owners, due dates, checklists, comments and files. Raised from anywhere: a customer, a booking, a support ticket.

Projects & milestones

Longer work with milestones, people and progress, and templates so the second one is quicker than the first.

Recurring work

The things that happen every week or every quarter, created on time with nobody having to remember them.

Boards & sprints

The same tasks shown as a board, a sprint or a timeline, for teams that like to work that way.

Desk and doorstep

One section. Two very different days.

Office work gets planned, revised and reported on. Field work gets dispatched. Someone on a doorstep needs to know what, where and when, and to mark it done. That's why Simma never hands them a project tool.

Plan it

Projects, milestones and the people on them. Spot what's late and what's blocked, and move work between people before it slips.

Do it

"What's my next job, where is it, and it's done." Clock in, follow the route, take photos, get a signature, and move on.

Plan it with an agent

Say what needs doing. Simma lays out the work.

The owner describes the outcome. The agent breaks it into milestones and tasks, finds who's free, and puts the dates in. The owner approves the plan, and then it runs.

The owner says"We're opening a second studio on 1 March. Get us ready."
Simma doesDrafts a project from the template used last time, with four milestones and 38 tasks. It books the fit-out jobs, adds hiring to Team, drafts the new timetable in Services, and asks Maya to plan the launch.

  • Checklists, comments and filesThe work and the conversation about it, in one place.
  • Raised from anywhereAny customer, booking, order or ticket can create a task.
  • A full historyWho changed what, and when.
Projects

In the field

Jobs out of the building

  • Job types and dispatchThe right person, with the right skills, sent to the right job.
  • RoutesA day's jobs put in an order that doesn't double back.
  • Clock-in and time on siteFeeds straight into timesheets in Team.
  • Forms, photos and proof it was doneA customer signature, and notes for next time.
Getting paid

Done means billed

  • Completed work becomes an invoiceDrafted in Money the moment a job is signed off.
  • Time and materialsHours and parts, captured on the job, land on the bill.
  • The customer kept in the loop"On my way", "done", and a link to pay.
What Simma notices

It finds what's slipping, and what's unbilled.

Tasks, jobs, people and invoices share one record. So Simma can see what's stuck, who's overloaded, and the money nobody asked for. A task app can't.

Delivered but not billed"4 completed jobs haven't been invoiced."
Nobody assigned"Thursday's three jobs have no one assigned."
Unowned near a deadline"Two tasks are unassigned on a project due Friday."
Overdue and silent"Nothing has moved on this for 9 days."
Someone overloaded"Sam has 14 open tasks. The team average is 5."
Wasted travel"Tuesday's route doubles back. That's 40 minutes of driving you could avoid."
The agents that help

Oli keeps the work moving. Fiona makes sure it's paid for.

Oli, the operations agent, watches deadlines, jobs and workload. Fiona, the finance agent, catches work that was finished but never billed. Both bring the owner a decision, not a notification. Meet the agents →
